TEACHING PLAN
The Curriculum
The curriculum at Future School encompasses various subjects, including languages (Vietnamese, Integrated English, and Cambridge English), mathematics (Vietnamese and English math), science (social and natural sciences, history, geography, and English science), arts (dance, fine arts, craft-engineering, and music performances), technology (scientific, moral, and soft skills), and sports (physical education, swimming, cycling, and martial arts). This diverse curriculum aims to foster well-rounded individuals with a wide range of skills and knowledge.
In planning how we would deliver our lesson well, we first had a meeting with our Supervisor from Dong Thap University, Ms. Lam. Ms. Lam was assigned as our designated subject. She also motivated us to be confident and mindful in teaching since our students are Vietnamese. English is not their first mode of instruction, so we also have to modify our lessons, like we need to put a translation into Vietnamese, especially the instructions in the activities.

Since Primary Maths in Grades 2 and 3 is my subject, I used translations in my PowerPoint presentations and learning materials. I also take my time discussing my topics and problem-solving.

I noticed during my first teaching demonstration that my students are more likely to engage in interactive activities than individual activities. So, I came up with an idea that was interactive and related to my topic. I am also preparing my learning materials ahead of time. More importantly, I sing and dance a math song as an energizer before I start my class to show my students that I am friendly and energetic.
